Job Description

  • Join and shape a growing Pricing and Revenue Management Team in the Jetstar Customer & Commercial team.
  • Engage with multiple commercial functions to support digital, ancillary, and operational initiatives.
  • Permanent, full-time role based in our Collingwood head office in Melbourne (Hybrid working options available)

The System Analyst will form a core part of the Pricing and Revenue Management (PRM) function within Jetstar. This role will support existing processes within PRM through efficient use of PRM systems and deliver best-in-class setup and process documentation.

This role will work very closely to the Flight and Pricing Analysts in Pricing & Revenue Management, and across multiple commercial functions supporting the delivery of digital, ancillary, and operational initiatives. The System Analyst will be involved in enabling the successful implementation and continual enhancements of a new data science driven forecasting and optimisation system for Jetstar.

In addition to the above, in the role you will be required to:

  • Support BAU processes of PRM, namely promotion implementation, revenue management system support and fee and fare pricing
  • Create and deliver best-in-practice system documentation create business transparency and reducing key person knowledge dependencies
  • Enhance existing processes to become more automated and efficient removing human intervention and driving zero-error outputs
  • Engage with all key business stakeholders and understand their business needs / drivers and information requirements
  • Support delivery of external PRM projects by ensuring testing requirements are implemented in a timely and accurate manner
  • Work closely with PRM, Digital and Ancillary functions ensuring their system needs are met
  • Facilitate the introduction of common practices / processes and use of common tools
  • Maintain and improve Pricing & Revenue Management systems and processes, driving efficiency, setup simplification, and improved business processes while ensuring data integrity.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Financially focused or Technology focused bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Well-developed numerical, analytical and computer skills enabling the ability to manipulate business critical data quickly and securely
  • Well-developed attention to detail with the ability to analyse and evaluate data effectively
  • Ability to plan and prioritize requests efficiently and co-ordinate activities in an efficient and effective manner
  • Problem solving skills to provide solutions and implement temporary workarounds as required
  • Experience working with systems that interact with multiple sources
  • Strong understanding of Revenue Management strategies, functions and processes
  • Highly motivated self-starter, able to work within a team environment and accountable for results achieved
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships with system users across multiple locations and organisation levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, with experience and comfort working within a dynamic and fast paced team environment.
  • Commercially minded
  • Previous experience working with Reservation Systems and Revenue Management Systems, specifically Navitaire or airRM, is preferred.
  • Basic level of understanding of ATPCO software will be highly regarded
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, Powerpoint, PowerBI and general reporting tools
  • Knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and JIRA software tools is preferrable
